Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NKJV)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
I know it can seem awful hard to see past where you are right now. Trust me; I know it all too well. But I’ll tell you something else I know as well: God knows more than you or I about us. His plans for us, whether we allow our lives to be directed His way or not, are for our good. They are for our BEST, you could say. He wants us in communion with Him, each and every day of this life and in Eternity to come. Still, we allow selfish desires to rob us of seeing that plan and keep us off the path to seeing His plans come to fruition.
Wherever you are, no matter how hopeless times may seem, they aren’t. God know what you’re dealing with, and keeping your eyes and heart on Him will see you through your circumstances. Seek His plans, seek His counsel, call upon His name, and just plain seek Him. You will find what you’re looking for ultimately, and it will be found in Him alone. People seek what He offers in so many bad avenues, when He could have met their true hunger if only they’d have sought Him.
God may soon reveal Himself to you in a big way, so DON’T GIVE UP! Don’t underestimate Him in the slightest! He has big plans for you; don’t forget it!
